# AI Chat Backup: ChatGPT to Notion, Obsidian & Markdown

> AI Chat Backup is a Chrome extension for exporting AI conversations as Markdown, writing them directly to local folders such as Obsidian vaults, or syncing them to Notion.

This site is the public documentation and support hub for AI Chat Backup. The extension itself is distributed through the Chrome Web Store; its source code is not included in this documentation repository. Local Markdown export does not require a Notion account. Conversation content is sent to Notion when the user chooses a sync action.

Supported AI platforms documented by the project are ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi, Google AI Studio, Perplexity, Poe, Grok, and Venice. Platform interface changes may temporarily affect conversation extraction.
